  1. The Oceanside Hotel was one of the biggest social hubs around during its existence. Burning down in the 1950' s never to be rebuilt again. It is the cause of many people's reflections based on their summers and experiences in the community. The popularity that Magnolia had is based off of the Oceanside Hotel and the business that it brought in, especially on Lexington Avenue where upscale New York stores like Lord & Taylor and Tiffany's would line the street.   2. The Oceanside was a magical place - spent many summers
    there as a child. How grand and elegant this resort hotel was,a classy establishment in every possible respect. To this day I have only the fondest memories of my days at that beautiful hotel.
